WHERE ARE YOUR PLAYMATS MADE?
Our Haven and Classic playmats are made at a small, family owned factory in Taiwan. We have been working with this manufacturer since the beginning of Toddlekind and visit often! We thoroughly vet all manufacturers before working with them to ensure they follow ethical labor practices, use safe, high-quality materials, and maintain environmental standards.
WHAT ARE YOUR PLAYMATS MADE OF?
Our Haven and Classic playmats are made from non-toxic EVA foam. EVA foam is the ideal choice for a cushiony space for little ones as it is free from BPA, phthalates, lead, and other harmful chemicals. As an added bonus, we infuse our Haven and Classic playmats with EcoPure®, an innovative organic additive that makes plastic materials biodegrade more rapidly in landfill environments. This helps reduce long-term plastic waste and supports more responsible end of life disposal.
IS ECOPURE® SAFE FOR BABIES AND CHILDREN?
Yes! EcoPure® is completely safe for babies, children, and everyday family use. EcoPure® is a non-toxic organic additive that’s blended into our EVA foam during production.
It does not release chemicals, does not affect the foam’s structure or performance, and does not change the product’s safety or feel.
All Toddlekind products made with EcoPure® meet strict international safety standards such as EN71 (Europe) and CPSIA (United States), ensuring they are:
- Free from BPA, phthalates, lead, and PVC
- Odor-free and gentle on sensitive skin
- Durable and stable during normal use, the EcoPure® activation process only begins once the material is in a landfill environment, where it attracts naturally occurring microbes that help it biodegrade faster.
So, while your child enjoys a soft, safe, and stylish play space, you can feel good knowing your choice supports a more sustainable future.
ARE YOUR PLAYMATS SAFE?
Yes! At Toddlekind, your child’s safety is our top priority. Our playmats are rigorously tested to meet and exceed U.S. and European safety standards for children’s products, ensuring they are free from harmful substances.
We test in accordance with:
- EN71 – European Toy Safety Standards
- ASTM F963 – U.S. Toy Safety Standards
- CPSIA – U.S. Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act
Our playmats are:
- Free from lead, PVC, formaldehyde, BPA, phthalates, latex, and formamide
- Exceed U.S. and EU limits for heavy metals and chemical emissions
- Odor-free, non-toxic, and independently tested for child safety
Each mat is crafted using premium EVA foam that’s durable, soft, and safe for even the youngest explorers. You can feel confident knowing your Toddlekind playmat provides a clean, comfortable, and secure surface for playtime.

ARE THE PLAYMATS SUITABLE FOR UNDERFLOOR HEATING?
Yes! All Toddlekind playmats are perfectly safe to use with underfloor heating. We suggest adding a felt rug pad underneath to protect your floors and ensure even heat distribution.
CAN YOUR PLAYMATS BE USED OUTDOORS?
Our Haven and Classic playmats are designed for indoor use only. Exposure to moisture, water, or humidity beneath the mat can damage the EVA foam and cause the playmat to warp or separate. Additionally, direct sunlight or prolonged UV exposure may cause colors to fade or change over time.
For outdoor spaces, we’ve designed the Wander Collection, including the Wander Classic and Wander Grande playmats, specifically made for outdoor use. They’re crafted from durable, weather-resistant materials that can withstand sunlight, spills, and the elements while maintaining their beautiful look and feel.
CAN THE PLAYMATS BE USED ON CARPET?
We do not recommend using our Haven and Classic playmats on medium or high pile carpet, as the uneven surface can cause the tiles to shift or separate during use. For best results, place your playmat on a flat, firm surface such as hardwood, tile, or low-pile carpet.
Please note that using the Haven or Classic playmats on unsuitable surfaces such as these will void the manufacturer’s warranty.
CAN I PURCHASE SINGLE TILES?
At this time, we do not offer individual tiles for sale. You can purchase a single mat set, which includes 6 tiles in the Haven collection or 9 tiles in the Classic collection.
HOW DO I PROPERLY CARE FOR, STORE, AND MAINTAIN MY PLAYMAT?
To keep your Toddlekind playmat looking beautiful and lasting for years to come, follow these simple care and storage tips:
Care Instructions:
- Wipe up spills immediately with a dry cloth, prolonged exposure to water or moisture can damage the mat.
- Clean with mild soap and water, then dry completely before use.
- Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners, bleach, or chemical sprays that may damage the surface.
- Not recommended for pets, as claws may puncture or scratch the foam.
- Avoid placing heavy furniture or gym equipment on the mat, as this can cause permanent indents.
- Ensure no moisture becomes trapped underneath. When cleaning your floors, let them dry completely before replacing the mat.
- Clean before first use.
- Indoor use only. Avoid direct sunlight or outdoor exposure, as UV rays and heat can cause discoloration or warping.
Storage & Maintenance:
- If not in use, disassemble the mat tiles and store them flat or stacked in a cool, dry place.
- Keep away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when stored.
- Before reassembling, make sure both the mat and floor are completely dry to prevent moisture buildup.
- Regularly check for wear or damage and replace any tiles showing excessive use to maintain a safe play surface.

Our Tumble Mats are expertly crafted in Vietnam by a trusted, carefully vetted factory that shares our commitment to quality, safety, and ethical production.
Each mat is made using premium materials and produced under strict quality control standards to ensure the durability, comfort, and safety you expect from Toddlekind. We partner only with manufacturers that uphold fair labor practices and responsible production methods, so you can feel confident in both the product and the process behind it.
WHAT ARE YOUR TUMBLE MATS MADE OF?
Our Tumble Mats are covered in high-quality vegan PU leather and filled with CertiPUR-US® certified foam for safe, supportive, and long-lasting comfort.
The vegan leather surface is soft to the touch, easy to clean, and free from harmful chemicals, while the CertiPUR-US® foam is made without mercury, lead, formaldehyde, or phthalates. It’s also low-VOC, ensuring a healthier environment for your little one’s play and rest time.
ARE YOUR TUMBLE MATS SAFE?
Yes, our Tumble Mats meet and exceed both U.S. and European safety standards for children’s products.
Each mat is made with CertiPUR-US® certified foam, which is free from harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde, phthalates, heavy metals, and flame retardants, and emits low VOCs for cleaner indoor air. The vegan PU leather cover is also non-toxic and tested to ensure it’s safe for your baby’s delicate skin.
We rigorously test our materials to comply with ASTM F963, CPSIA, and EN71 safety standards, giving you peace of mind that your child’s play space is both comfortable and safe.
CAN THE TUMBLE MATS BE USED OUTDOORS?
No, the Tumble Mat is designed for indoor use only.
The vegan PU leather cover and CertiPUR-US® foam interior is not weatherproof, and exposure to moisture, direct sunlight, or extreme temperatures may cause damage such as fading, warping, or material breakdown.
For the best results and longest lifespan, use your Tumble Mat indoors on a dry, flat surface, away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
HOW DO I PROPERLY CARE FOR, STORE, AND MAINTAIN MY TUMBLE MAT?
To keep your Tumble Mat looking beautiful and performing its best, follow these simple care tips:
- Wipe clean with a soft cloth, warm water, and mild soap as needed.
- Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners, bleach, or alcohol-based products, which may damage the vegan leather surface.
- Do not machine wash or submerge the mat in water.
- Allow the mat to air dry completely before use or storage.
- Keep the mat away from direct sunlight and heat sources, as excessive exposure may cause fading or surface wear.
- When not in use, store in a cool, dry place.
With regular care, your Tumble Mat will stay soft, supportive, and stylish for years to come.

WHERE ARE YOUR COTTON ITEMS MADE?
Our cotton products are made in India by a multi-generational family owned factory who we have been working with for many years. We thoroughly vet all manufacturers before working with them to ensure they follow ethical labor practices, use safe, high-quality materials, and maintain environmental standards.
WHAT ARE YOUR COTTON ITEMS MADE OF?
All our Cotton Playmats are made from GOTS certified organic cotton and 100% recycled polyester center except for our Wander Playmats which have an additional BIONIC-FINISH® ECO, a fluorine-free water-repellent finish
ARE THE COTTON MATS SAFE?
Yes! They are tested to the highest standards for ASTM F963, CPSIA, and EN71 safety regulations.
CAN THE COTTON MATS BE USED OUTDOORS?
Yes, our mats can be used outdoors. Our Wander Playmats are water-resistant and made for on the go.
HOW DO I PROPERLY CARE FOR, STORE, AND MAINTAIN MY COTTON ITEM?
- Wash at 86° F
- Do not bleach.
- Do not tumble dry or dry clean.
- Iron on low setting if needed.

Our Mini Maven is crafted using premium, safe, and eco-conscious materials:
- Outer layer: 100% organic cotton (slub fabric)
- Inner waterproof lining: Water-resistant polyester
- Treatment: Both fabrics are treated with BIONIC-FINISH® ECO, a fluorine-free water-repellent finish
This construction ensures the pad is gentle on baby’s skin, easy to clean, and resistant to moisture, all while aligning with our commitment to non-toxic, high-quality materials.
ARE THE MINI MAVENS SAFE?
Yes, absolutely! The Mini Maven is made with non-toxic, baby-safe materials that meet both U.S. and European safety standards.
The outer layer is crafted from 100% organic cotton, while the inner lining is coated with BIONIC-FINISH® ECO, a fluorine-free, water-repellent treatment that’s safe for babies and the environment.
This finish is free from PFCs, formaldehyde, and other harmful chemicals, providing protection against spills without compromising on safety.
Every Mini Maven is independently tested to ensure its gentle on delicate skin, odor-free, and completely safe for everyday use.
CAN THE MINI MAVENS BE USED OUTDOORS?
Yes, the Mini Maven is designed for use at home or on the go, making it perfect for diaper changes both indoors and outdoors.
The BIONIC-FINISH® ECO water-repellent coating helps protect against light moisture, making it suitable for use in places like parks, cafés, or travel changing areas.
However, it’s best to avoid placing the pad on wet, rough, or dirty surfaces and to store it indoors when not in use. Prolonged exposure to moisture, direct sunlight, or harsh outdoor conditions may reduce the lifespan of the product.

To keep your Mini Maven looking beautiful and performing its best, follow these simple care and storage tips:

- For a deeper clean, machine wash cold on a gentle cycle using mild detergent.
- Air dry flat, do not tumble dry, iron, or dry clean.

- Always ensure the pad is completely dry before folding or storing.
- Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or heat sources to preserve the water-repellent finish and fabric quality.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to wet or dirty outdoor surfaces.
- With proper care, your Mini Maven will remain soft, durable, and reliable, ready for every change, at home or on the go.

We currently ship to the lower 48 United States: all

HOW LONG DOES DELIVERY TAKE?
Orders for in-stock items are processed and shipped
within 1-2 business days, excluding weekends and public holidays.
Once your order ships, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information.
Most orders arrive within 3-7 business days, depending on carrier transit
times and your location.
Delivery times may vary during peak shipping seasons or due to carrier delays.
HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING?
We offer free standard shipping on orders over $150. For orders under $150 we offer a $15 flat rate shipping fee.
HOW DO I TRACK MY ORDER?
Once your order has shipped, you will receive a separate email with your tracking number.
CAN I CHANGE OR CANCEL MY ORDER?
If you need to cancel or modify your order, please contact us within 1 hour of placing it.
After this time, we may not be able to make changes, as your order may already be processed.

Returns & Exchanges
WHAT'S YOUR RETURN POLICY?
We accept returns and exchanges within 100 days of purchase for items that are unused, in their original packaging, and in resalable condition. To initiate a return or exchange please visit our returns portal.
ARE RETURNS FREE?
A 15% processing fee applies to refunds issued to your original form of payment. This fee helps cover return shipping and handling costs and will be clearly displayed once you initiate a return in our returns portal. The fee is waived if you choose store credit or an exchange instead.
DO YOU OFFER EXCHANGES?
We’re happy to offer free exchanges within 100 days of purchase for items that are unused, in their original packaging, and in resalable condition.When you choose an exchange instead of a refund, the 15% processing fee is waived, and we’ll cover the cost of return shipping.
To start an exchange, simply use our returns portal and select the exchange option when prompted. Once your return is received and inspected, your replacement item will be shipped out. Please allow up to 7 business days for processing.
HOW DO FREE TILE REPLACEMENTS WORK?
We offer free tile replacements under our one-year manufacturer’s warranty for products with a verified manufacturing defect.
To start a warranty claim, please email customerservice@toddlekind.com with the following details:
- Your order number
- The batch ID (found on the underside of your playmat)
- Photos clearly showing the defect
Once we’ve reviewed and approved your claim, we’ll ship your replacement tile(s) free of charge. Please note that this warranty applies only to manufacturing defects and does not cover damage from normal wear and tear, misuse, or improper care.

ARE TODDLEKIND PRODUCTS SAFE?

HOW DO I CLEAN AND CARE FOR MY PRODUCTS?
Foam Mats
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild soap if needed.
- Do not soak or submerge in water. Prolonged exposure to moisture can damage the mat.
- Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners, bleach, or disinfectant sprays, as these may cause discoloration or surface wear.
- Keep dry underneath: Ensure no water or moisture becomes trapped under the mat; always let floors dry completely before placing the mat back down.
- Avoid direct sunlight or outdoor use. UV exposure can cause fading or color changes.
Cotton Products
- Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle using mild detergent.
- We recommend air dry only for most products. Our Kind Cloths can be tumbled dry on low heat. Do not bleach, or dry clean.
- Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to prevent fading.
- Wash before first use for best softness and hygiene.

WHAT AGES ARE YOUR PRODUCTS FOR?
All Toddlekind products are suitable from 0 months and up. Our playmats and accessories are thoughtfully designed to grow with your child, providing a safe, comfortable, and stylish space from tummy time through toddlerhood and beyond.
CAN I USE MATS OUTDOORS?
Our Wander Mats are designed for both indoor and outdoor use, and are made with durable, weather-resistant materials that can handle sunlight and moisture.
Other Toddlekind playmats, such as our Haven and Classic collections, are intended for indoor use only. Exposure to water or direct sunlight may cause damage or color fading.

WHAT IF MY ORDER IS DAMAGED?
If your order arrives with damaged outer packaging, please accept the delivery but contact us within 24 hours of receipt at customerservice@toddlekind.com.
Include photos of the damaged packaging and items so we can assist you promptly. Please keep all packaging materials until the issue has been resolved.
If you notice any quality issues or defects after unpacking or using your product, please email us within 3 days of receipt and we’ll do our best to resolve the issue quickly.
DO PRODUCTS COME WITH A WARRANTY?
Yes, all Toddlekind products are covered by a one-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials or workmanship.
If you believe your item is defective, please reach out to customerservice@toddlekind.com with your order number, batch ID, and photos of the issue you are experiencing, and we’ll be happy to assist.

MY ORDER ARRIVED DAMAGED.
If you believe you’ve received a damaged or defective product, please stop using it immediately and contact our Customer Service team at customerservice@toddlekind.com.
Include your original order number and photos of the defect so we can review the issue promptly.
All claims are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Our policy regarding damaged or defective items is subject to change without notice.

I HAVE INCORRECT INFORMATION ON MY SHIPPING ADDRESS.
Please ensure that your full name and complete shipping address (including street address, city, state, and ZIP code) are entered correctly at checkout.
Toddlekind cannot be held responsible for orders that fail to arrive due to incorrect or incomplete delivery information provided at the time of purchase.
If your order does not arrive within 10 business days of shipment and the address provided was correct, please contact us at customerservice@toddlekind.com so we can assist you in locating your package.
MY ORDER DIDN’T ARRIVE.
If an order is returned to us as undeliverable (for example, due to an incorrect address, refusal of delivery, or failure to pick up from a carrier facility), the customer will be responsible for any reshipping fees.Original shipping costs are non-refundable.If you prefer a refund instead of reshipment, the refund will be issued minus the original shipping cost once the package is received back at our warehouse.
Once a package has been marked as “Delivered” by the carrier, ownership and responsibility transfer to the customer. Toddlekind is not liable for lost or stolen packages after delivery confirmation. If you believe your package was stolen or delivered incorrectly, please contact the carrier directly to file a claim.
We recommend shipping to a secure location to help prevent theft.
Common Questions
DO TODDLEKIND PLAYMATS SMELL AT FIRST?
A slight scent may be noticeable when you first unpack your playmat. This is normal and comes from the manufacturing process.
Simply air out the mat for 24-48 hours, and any light odor will naturally disappear.
Rest assured, the scent is completely harmless and not caused by chemicals. All Toddlekind mats are made from non-toxic, safety-tested materials that meet strict U.S. and European safety standards.
ARE YOUR PLAYMATS PET-CONSCIOUS?
Our playmats are durable; however, sharp claws can scratch or puncture the surface, so we recommend supervision if pets will be on the mat.
For homes with pets, we suggest our Wander Collection or Tumble Mats, which feature more durable, pet-conscious materials designed to better withstand everyday wear and tear.
CAN I PLACE FURNITURE ON THE PLAYMATS?
We don’t recommend placing heavy furniture or items with sharp legs directly on your Haven or Classic playmat, as this may cause dents or damage. If furniture must be placed on the mat, use protective pads or coasters under the legs to help distribute the weight evenly
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS FIRE-RETARDANT?
No, Toddlekind mats are not treated with chemical flame retardants, as these substances can be harmful to children and the environment. For safety, always keep your playmat away from open flames, heaters, and other heat sources, and never use it near fireplaces or stoves
CAN I COMBINE DIFFERENT PLAYMAT STYLES?
No, our Haven and Classic playmats are designed with different interlocking systems and cannot be connected or mixed together.
HOW DO PREORDERS WORK?
When you place a preorder, your payment is processed at checkout to reserve your item. The estimated ship date will be shown on the product page. Once your preorder item is in stock, it will ship automatically, and you’ll receive a shipping confirmation with tracking information. If your order includes both in-stock and preorder items, the full order will ship together unless stated otherwise.
HOW CAN I CHECK MY ORDER STATUS?
You can track your order anytime using the link in your shipping confirmation email. If you created an account at checkout, you can also view your order status by logging into your Toddlekind.com account.
DO YOU OFFER GIFT CARDS?
Yes! Toddlekind offers digital gift cards that can be purchased and emailed directly to your recipient. Gift cards never expire and can be used toward any product on toddlekind.com.
